You can try this code on button click event:
SetPictureName(lpszPictureName,"PictureWindowName","PDLName");

PictureWindowName= Name of the Picture Window where you want to display another PDL
PDLName = Name of the pdl which you want to display in PictureWindow.

Hi

Its so simple

1- Select that button which you want to use as "Navigation Key".

2- Open dynamic wizard window.

3- Select "Picture Functions" Tab from dynamic wizard.

4- Select "Picture Exchange in Workspace."

5- Press "Next"

6- Select your desired mouse action.

7- Choose the picture which you want to be navigated to by click. (Browse the PDL address.)

8- Click Finish.

now if you check events of that button you can find out there is a C action assigned there automatically.

 Yes, it is! Thanks for the detailed response! I did this operation in one minute when I had to attach one of the button to the picture in workspace.
