Which bandwidth does the WinCC web client need for communications with the WinCC Web Navigator server?

Description:
The speed and bandwidth of your access to the Internet on the WinCC Web Navigator has a great influence on the performance of your WinCC projects, picture selection and update times of your WinCC web clients. Each client has a bandwidth requirement of about10 kbps.

If you are operating your WinCC Web Navigator server on a LAN, you can achieve maximum performance. However, if you connect your Web Navigator server to a 56K modem, bandwidth and performance will be much less, which will in turn have a negative influence on your picture download times, updating and the number of clients you can operate simultaneously.

More information and recommendations on using the WinCC Web Navigator are also available in the WinCC Web Navigator release notes under "Important Information > Performance". As from WinCC Web Navigator V6.2, this information is in the "WinCC Web Navigator - Documentation" in the section entitled "Configuration of the Web Navigator Server > Performance of the Web Server and Dedicated Web Server".
