With the RF120C communication module you can integrate SIMATIC RF300 readers in a proprietary manner into a S7-1200 control system. The S7 block “ident blocks" or “ident profile" are used to control this configuration.

A SIMATIC RF300 reader is to be integrated directly into a S7-1200 control system. Basic RFID functionalities are to be realized via the reader. 

The RF120C communication module was developed in order to connect the SIMATIC RFID reader directly to a S7 1200 control system. To control the readers the S7 "Ident blocks" program blocks are used.
The basic example for this solution is kept very simple. The focus in the description is on the basic steps for the configuration and programming of the automation solution. The figure below shows the structural configuration of the solution:
