TeleControl Basic and TeleControl Professional are recommended for efficient plant monitoring and control from one control unit. You connect a SIMATIC S7-1200 to control units via the TeleControl CP.

TeleControl Basic: CPs for S7-1200
The control software TeleControl Server Basic is used for TeleControl Basic. The system supports modular telecontrol stations based on the SIMATIC S7-1200. The communications processors (CPs) below are available for TeleControl Basic applications with SIMATC S7-1200.

CP 1243-1

  • Communication processor for connecting the SIMATIC S7-1200 via the public infrastructure
    (DSL, for example) to a control unit with TeleControl Server Basic V3.
  • The CP enables protected access to the S7-1200 (VPN technology and firewall).
  • The CP can be used as an additional Ethernet interface of the CPU for S7 communication and Open User communication.
  • The CP can be used as an additional interface for network separation.

CP 1242-7 V2

  • Communication processor for connecting the SIMATIC S7-1200 via GSM mobile telephone networks to a control unit with TeleControl Server Basic V3.
  • The CP can be used as an additional Ethernet interface of the CPU for S7 communication and Open User communication.
  • The CP can be used as an additional interface for network separation.

CP 1243-7 LTE xx

  • Communication processor for connecting the SIMATIC S7-1200 via LTE, UMTS or
    GSM mobile telephone networks to a control unit with TeleControl Server Basic V3 (European standard).
  • Communication processor for connecting the SIMATIC S7-1200 via LTE or UMTS mobile telephone networks to a control unit with TeleControl Server Basic V3 (North American standard).
  • The CP enables protected access to the S7-1200 (VPN technology and firewall).
  • The CP can be used as an additional Ethernet interface of the CPU for S7 communication and Open User communication.
  • The CP can be used as an additional interface for network separation.

TeleControl Professional: CPs for S7-1200
With TeleControl Professional you can connect telecontrol stations based on SIMATIC S7-1200, S7-300 and
S7-400 to the control systems SIMATIC PCS7, SIMATIC WinCC, WinCC OA (Open Architecture) and third-party systems. The communications processors (CPs) below are available for TeleControl Professional applications with SIMATIC S7-1200.

CP 1243-1 DNP3

  • Communications processor for connecting the SIMATIC S7-1200 to control units via DNP3 protocol.
  • The CP can be used as an additional interface for network separation.

CP1243-1 IEC

  • Communications processor for connecting the SIMATIC S7-1200 to control units via IEC 60870-5 protocol.
  • he CP can be used as an additional interface for network separation.

CP 1243-8 IRC

  • Communications processor for connecting the SIMATIC S7-1200 to control units via public or private infrastructures to a TeleControl central unit.
  • The CP used the "SINAUT ST7" protocol for TeleControl communication.

  • The CP enables protected access to the S7-1200 (VPN technology and firewall).

  • The CP can be used as an additional Ethernet interface of the CPU for S7 communication and Open User communication.

  • The CP has two WAN interfaces:
  • 1x Ethernet: RJ45 Port on-board.
  • Interface can be configure via TS Module (can be slotted on the left of the CP 1243-8 IRC).
