Release for sale and delivery for SIMOTICS M-1PH8 with Pt1000 temperature sensor

Effective immediately, SIMOTICS M-1PH8 main motors – under a modified order number – can now be ordered and delivered with the Pt1000 temperature sensor. Initially, this involves versions without DRIVE-CLiQ interface.

Background

Pt1000 temperature sensors are replacing the integrated KTY84-130 sensors that have been integrated up until now. For additional information on the product discontinuation for KTY84-130, see109478106.

The following changes have been made:

  • Motors with DRIVE-CLiQ interface will be equipped with Pt1000 temperature sensors at a later date. These motors also exhibit a compatible temperature evaluation response with the Pt1000, so no further action is required.
  • The current motor series without the DRIVE-CLiQ interface with the Pt1000 temperature sensors are allocated a new order number because they are not compatible with the KTY84-130 temperature sensor.

New article numbers for SIMOTICS M-1PH8 motors without DRIVE-CliQ interface:

For the following encoders without DRIVE-CLiQ, the 16th position of the article number must be changed.

If possible, these article numbers should be used immediately for any new systems.

Compatibility with the converter firmware

If converters of other manufacturers are used, compatibility with the Pt1000 temperature sensor must be checked.

If Siemens converters are used, the versions with Pt1000 will be supported by the following firmware:

Runtime:

  • SINAMICS S120 firmware V4.8 and a hotfix for the latest V4.7 firmware
  • SINAMICS G120 firmware V4.7 SP6
  • SINUMERIK V4.8 and hotfixes for the latest firmware versions V4.5 and V4.7
  • SIMOTION V4.5 (SINAMICS firmware V4.8)

Commissioning tool:

  • STARTER V4.5 (SINAMICS firmware V4.8)

The Pt1000 can be parameterized via the parameter p0601 with the value 6 for motors without DRIVE-CLiQ.
