ANSWER:What does degree of protection IP69K mean for 3SU1 units?
Degree of protection IP69K was developed for high-pressure jet cleaning at high temperatures. "6" stands for protection against the ingress of dust, while "9" signifies protection against jets during close-range high-pressure cleaning.
Degree of protection IP69K was introduced in 1993 and is based on the standard DIN 40050-9. Originally, this degree of protection was developed for automobiles for protecting against the ingress of foreign bodies, such as dust and dirt, and hot water jets.
In the latest version of the standard IEC 60529, only degree of protection IP69 is mentioned (IP69K = IP69).
