  • Entry
  • Associated product(s)
The SIMATIC ITP1000 opens the way to a new kind of mobile computing. Thus, in practice, it presents completely new fields for application with regard to communications, manufacturing or service. By means of various functions, this application example shows how to use the ITP1000 in your company.

The following functions are shown in the application example:

1. Logging on via RFID card
By logging on with an RFID card, you can realize a user administration.
This allows an access restriction to certain components of the plant.

2. Traceability of entries via WinCC Audit
You can use WinCC Audit to track operator actions in your production.

3. Reading codes (QR code, barcode, Data Matrix,...)
The SIMATIC ITP1000 supports a large number of different codes. You can use the integrated scanner to process these codes.

4. Communication via WLAN
Due to the interaction between an ITP1000 and a SCALANCE W access point, you are provided with a mobile operator panel that can be used for distributed plant structures such as in logistics.

5. Distributed plant operation
You can use the SIMATIC HMI HTTP protocol to enable data exchange between several operator panels. Thus, you have mobile access to production data via the ITP1000.
