      Sales release of SINAMICS V20 multi-pump function

      With immediate effect, the SINAMICS V20 multi pump function in firmware version V03.94.05.00 is released for sale.
      The V20 multi pump function controls maximum 4 pumps with the I/O extension module. After the multi-pump control is enabled, you can configure the following four sub-functions: switching-in/-out, stop mode, pump switchover, and service mode.

      Pump switch-in/switch-out



      The inverter soft-starts the pumps one by one during switch-in sequence to achieve required system pressure. The inverter stages off the pumps one by one during switch-out sequence if the feedback pressure is higher than the required system pressure.

      Stop mode

      Two stop modes are available: Normal stop (all pumps in line system operation stop at the same time) and Sequence stop (all pumps in line system operation stop one by one).

      Pump switchover

      With pump switchover enabled, the Inverter monitors the operating status of all running pumps and manages pumps staging on/off according to continuous operating hours, in order to prolong the system lifetime.

      Service mode

      When a pump is in service mode, the inverter locks the corresponding relay, which allows you to perform troubleshooting of this pump without interrupting the operation of other pumps.

      Enabling multi pump function

      To enable this function, you must first download the multi-pump control script files to the inverter with the optional Parameter Loader and an SD card. Proceed through certain steps to download the script files into the inverter and apply.
