In SINUMERIK controllers with the Safety Integrated function, the safety-relevant hardware components (e.g. SMI motors, SMC, SME) are secured by means of checksum.
If a service case requires one of these components to be replaced, the checksum for the hardware component must be confirmed.
Up to SINUMERIK software version 4.5, the confirmation of the new checksum when replacing the abovementioned components was supported by a softkey in the "Diagnostics" area ("Confirm SI hardware data").
As a result of a feature expansion in the SINAMICS Runtime software, other components (motor module, EnDat encoder) are monitored in addition to the hardware components (SMI motors, SMC, SME).
Depending on the component being replaced, this is signaled to the user through alarms 201640/201641.
The feature is active by default; by reconfiguring the message type, you can restore the behavior found in SINUMERIK software versions > 4.7 .
Acknowledging component replacement
As of SINUMERIK software version 4.7 SP4 HF1:
Acknowledgement of component replacement is supported by the "Confirm SI hardware data" softkey in the "Diagnostics/Alarm list" area.
SINUMERIK software version < 4.7 SP4:
Acknowledgement of component replacement is carried out via parameters.
Acknowledgement of alarm 201640:
To acknowledge alarm 201640, the component replacement must be confirmed (p9700=29) and saved (p971=1).
User acknowledges the hardware replacement, saves and acknowledges the fault
Writing of p10 to 95 (activate Safety commissioning)
Writing of p9700 to 29 (=0x1D) (launch node identifier copy function)
Writing of p9701 to 236 (confirm hardware CRC)
Writing of p10 to 0 (deactivate Safety commissioning)
Perform same sequence (p10, p9700 and p9701) on the TM54F if relevant.
Then save the node IDs of the components involved that were transferred to the Safety parameters as a result p971 = 1 (or 977=1) (save parameters).
Acknowledgement of alarm 201641:
To acknowledge alarm 201641, the drive data must be saved (p971=1)
User saves and acknowledges the fault
Writing of p971 = 1 (or 977=1) (save parameters)
Provide behavior as in SINUMERIK software < 4.7:
To provide the user with behavior as found in software versions < 4.7, it is possible to alter the message type of alarms 201640/201641 and set it to "No report".
This requires setting parameters p2118 and 2119 in the drive.
To do so, SINUMERIK software version >= 4.7 SP4 is required.

Component replacement in connection with interchangeable heads:
To provide an interchangeable head scenario, we recommend configuring alarms 201640/201641 to "No report".
Otherwise, one of the two alarms may be output during a head change depending on the encoder type used.
