The cost-optimized SCALANCE XC-200 are available as successors for the SCALANCE X-300 (X307-3, X307-3LD, X308-2, X308-2LD, X308-2LH, X308-2LH+, X308-2M, X320-1FE, X320-3FE LD and the type-discontinued SCALANCE X304-2FE and X306-1LD FE).  

Below you will find a description of two options for the successors of the XC-200 series for the respective SCALANCE X-300 versions. You can select the matching and cost-optimized successor, depending on the number of ports you need and the space you have available. 

Note: You can find a detailed description in section 13 for the migration of the ST/BFOC and SC connectors to the LC connection technology.

 

 1. Successor of SCALANCE X304-2FE

The direct successor of the SCALANCE X304-2FE is the SCALANCE XC206-2 (SC). Similar to the X304-2FE, the XC206-2 (SC) also features two SC-FO interfaces. The device configuration can also be stored on the C-plug (can be ordered optionally) at the XC206-2 (SC).

    As an alternative to the SCALANCE XC206-2 (SC), the SCALANCE XC206-2SFP (6GK5206-2BS00-2AC2) with plug-in SFP transceivers and optical LC connection system can also be used as a successor. The equivalent components in comparison to the X304-2 FE is 2 x SFP991-1 (6GK5991-1AD00-8AA0). In addition to multimode SFPs, single-mode and Gigabit SFPs can also be plugged into XC206-2SFP.


2. Successor of SCALANCE X306-1LD FE 

The direct successor of the SCALANCE X306-1LD FE is the SCALANCE XC206-2SFP with plugged-in SFP991-1LD. As with X306-1LD FE, the device configuration can also be stored on the C-PLUG (can be ordered optionally) for the XC206-2SFP.
