LOGO! - Pump control for a cistern
The cistern is fed by rainwater and from it a building is supplied with service water by means of a pump. When the cistern is empty, the low fill level is detected by a sensor and a solenoid is actuated through which the cistern is replenished with drinking water.
LOGO! controls the pump to increase the pressure of the service water pipe to over 3 [bar].
Via the LOGO! display, the web server and via the LOGO! TDE the respective status of the pump control is to be communicated.
The integrated functions of a LOGO! 8 offer many additional possibilities to solve automation tasks quickly and simply.
With LOGO!, prefabricated function blocks support project creation, e.g. weekly time switch, pulse generator, astronomic clock/timer, seasonal time switch, stopwatch and simple logic gates.
The integrated LOGO! 8 web server offers from the LOGO! 8.2 version, in addition to the message text based display, the possibility to create user-defined web pages for clear operation and monitoring. This enables you to call up and control functions via the network.
- Extendibility of the software program to include further tasks.
(Watering the garden, fountains, individual safety and monitoring functions, etc.)
- Straightforward, star-shaped arrangement of the wiring of the components.
- Use of simple switches (circuit breakers) or pushbuttons.
- Integration of LOGO! inputs and outputs into a KNX system.
This application example is aimed at specialist electrical installation staff.
