    SIMATIC S7-1500T RotaryKnife

    The SIMATIC application RotaryKnife is part of the Converting Toolbox and was developed with the aim of providing a flexible solution for cutting or perforating web material.

    The materials used can be very different. From one-layer paper to stainless steel, everything is possible. The possible cross-cutting units of the production machines (e.g. paper cross-cutter, eccentric shear, pendulum shear) are correspondingly different.
    For this reason, various suitable motion profiles have been developed both for the synchronous range and for the format range. For particularly heavy geometries, a user-defined solution for the synchronous range is possible.


    The standard application is based on the SIMATIC S7-1500T system platform and provides various cross cutter functionalities. Among others, this is the machine mode manager, the cam calculation, a print mark synchronization, an example HMI and much more. In the download area the library is available, which can be integrated into the TIA Portal project of the user, a completely functional demo project as well as the corresponding user manual.  

    In addition to the standard range of functions, the DC Link Pre Control (=DCLPC) add-on is also available. This is used for load-dependent precontrol of the DC link voltage and thus for reducing the mains peaks.
