The innovative technological enhancement of drives in the TIA Portal. SINAMICS DCC V15.1 is available for the first time in the TIA Portal as an extension of the functional scope of the drive system.

SINAMICS DCC (Drive Control Chart)  is a technological enhancement of the SINAMICS S120/S150/G130/G150 drives systems. It enables  the device functionality of the drive systems to be individually expanded with freely available closed-loop control, arithmetic and logic blocks. The user-friendly configuration tool facilitates easy graphical configuration of the blocks and their integration in the drive unit. SINAMICS DCC provides users with a new level of versatility when adapting these systems to the specific functions of their machines. It enables complex applications such as for winders or traversers to be implemented. 

The available blocks are summarized in the DCB libraries. A differentiation is made between DCB Standard and DCB Extension libraries. General closed-loop control, arithmetic and logic blocks are available in the standard DCB libraries. On the other hand, DCB Extension allows customized block libraries to be created. The SINAMICS DCC V15.1 option package for Startdrive Basic or Advanced V15.1 has its own setup and engineering license.

It includes the SINAMICS DCC combo V15 engineering license for using:
  • SINAMICS DCC V15.1 with Startdrive V15.1
  • SINAMICS DCC V3.3 with STARTER V5.3 for parallel installation of SINAMICS DCC V15.1 and Startdrive V15.1 on a PC

Here is an overview of the SINAMICS DCC V15.1 functions:

  • Support for SINAMICS firmware from version V5.2 (planned for January 2019)

    • Easy, convenient creation of user-defined SINAMICS parameters (publication)

    • Simplified parameter number assignment for transparent configuration

    • Enhanced features for user-defined Sinamics parameters with min/max range

  • Handling of libraries with following highlights

    • Support of DCB Extension libraries

    • Implicit download of used DCB library

    • Forwarding of used DCB library with project library

  • Tracing of block connectors and user-defined SINAMICS parameters possible

  • Online monitoring in plan of block connectors and user-defined SINAMICS parameters

  • Support of openness when reading and writing user-defined SINAMICS parameters
