Damaged load cell replacement
Problem/FAQ: If one of my load cells is damaged, do I need to replace both load cells?
Solution: No. We do not “match” our loadcells on each belt scale. Instead, our integrators have always used an electronic load cell balancing circuit to match our load cell characteristics in the electronics. This means that we need to run the load cell balancing routine when we make the installation of the beltscale. This brings up another frequently asked question: how often do I need to balance my load cells? The simple answer is once, during commissioning. Load cells do not need to be rebalanced unless one or both load cells have been damaged and replaced, or if the electronics have been replaced, or if the belt scale has been relocated.
