AS Configurator - Parts List
The automation systems in a PCS 7 plant are subject to a wide variety of requirements depending on the field of application. CPUs, power supplies, communication processors and other components can be adapted to the application at hand in order to tailor the automation system to the requirements.
To facilitate the selection of components, Siemens provides a tool for the simple compilation of AS bundles in the Industry Mall in the form of configurators:Configurators - Overview of all available configurators
AS configurators can be found in the path "Automation Technology >
SIMATIC PCS 7".
A configurator is available for each of the following automation systems:
- SIMATIC PCS 7 AS 410 Single Station
- SIMATIC PCS 7 AS 410 Redundancy Station
- SIMATIC PCS 7 AS Single Station
- SIMATIC PCS 7 AS Redundancy Station.
Configurator - Parts list
The AS Configurator parts list serves as a supplement to the configurators. It contains bundled information on the individual components, their technical specifications and EC/EU declarations of conformity of an AS bundle. There is a separate list for each of the above configurators, which is summarized in an Excel table. There is also a list which stores the permanently defined AS bundles.

The data contained in the parts list are used exclusively for faster access to the technical specifications and declarations of conformity of AS bundles. AS bundles configured on this basis are not checked for plausibility and can therefore easily result in invalid configurations. To configure and order AS bundles, use the configurators in the Industry Mall or contact your sales partner.
The information in the list is coded according to the article article number of the AS bundle. The first seven characters of the article number are defined by selecting the configurator. The following figure illustrates this using the example of the list for the SIMATIC PCS 7 AS410 Single Station Configurator.
The other characters of the article number, of the AS bundle, are marked with a dot for variable components. The article number 6ES7654-6CQ04-6K1 shows that the letter C stands for the CPU 410-5H. This has the separate article number 6ES7410-5HX08-0AB0. You can reach the technical specifications in the Industry Online Support using the provided link. You can find the link to the corresponding declaration of conformity in the column EC/EU certificate of conformity.
In some cases, an additional
product is assigned to a character of the article number. The corresponding
information can be found under "2nd order number".
