Firmware update V6.2.2 for SCALANCE XR-500
The following features were added:
- Disabling ring, standby and MRP interconnection ports using WBM and CLI
It is now possible to disable ring, standby and MRP interconnection ports using WBM and CLI.
Extension of the System->Restart function
Using the "Scheduled Restart" function, you can plan a device restart after expiration of a configurable delay time. This function is available using WBM and CLI.
Corrections were made in the following areas:
Corrections in the area of PIM Multicast routing
This firmware update should be used if IP Multicast routing with mobile IP Multicast senders and/or receivers is used or if these are rearranged during operation.
Corrections in the area of OSPF routing
The packets of individual terminal devices were discarded in some cases when OSPF was used as the routing protocol. This behavior has been corrected with this firmware update. The firmware update should therefore be used when using OSPF.
Correction of the behavior of the HRP standby slave
A restart of the HRP standby slave, especially while using the loop detection function at the same time, can create a network loop in some cases.
We therefore recommend using this firmware update when HRP standby is used.
Correction of the link recognition of 10 Gbps SFPs for XR526
The link recognition of 10 Gbps SFPs when restarting the device has been improved. We recommend using this firmware upgrade when 10 Gbps SFPs are used in the SCALANCE XR526.
