Integrated system

They offer a fully integrated system with respect to operation, functionality and installation from 100 A to 1250 A.  This principle is embodied in the basic units and in all internal and external accessories. A separate accessory package is available for 3VA2 molded case circuit breakers in size 1600 A (3VA27).

The 3VA molded case circuit breakers are available in various ranges with IEC approval; other ranges are available that comply with standard IEC 60947 and standard UL489.

Machine manufacturers and switchgear manufacturers can use the full function range of the molded case circuit breakers for installations in Europe and North America, with absolute standards compliance assured.

Communication/metering functions

  • The use of modern communication-capable molded case circuit breakers opens up completely new possibilities in terms of start-up, parameterization, diagnostics, maintenance and operation. With COM800/COM100, the communication-capable molded case circuit breakers can already be integrated into the relevant communication networks via Modbus TCP as standard using the following optional expansion modules: 

  • Switched Ethernet PROFINET

  • PROFIBUS

  • RS 485 (Modbus RTU)

  • The molded case circuit breakers can be integrated via PROFINET and PROFIBUS directly into the TIA Portal ≥ V14 and SIMATIC Energy Suite. GSDML and GSD files are available as support for STEP 7 V5 and other engineering systems.
