Why can you no longer establish communication with the SIMATIC S7-1500 software controllers?

  • Entry
  • Associated product(s)
An update is needed for each version of the certificates used for signing the Windows files of the SIMATIC S7-1500 software controller.

Description
The software controllers (CPU 1505SP, CPU 1507S and CPU 1508S) functions up to and including June 10, 2019. The Windows service for communication with the software controller has not been functioning since June 11, 2019. You can still see the software controller in the network, but you can no longer access it in Windows and you can no longer configure it.

The communication between WinCC and the software controller is also defective.

The CPU 150xS can no longer be reached and you get the following message: "Connection error. CPU cannot be reached, CPU service is not running."
