Bringing products to the market faster and with consistently high quality requires an optimized engineering workflow in the automation and the shortest possible assembly and commissioning times for new production lines. The SIMIT simulation software enables real-time simulation and emulation for comprehensive testing of automation solutions.

For this purpose, the behavior of the field technology and the technology of the production plant can be mapped and simulated in real time or in a virtual time. Either a real or virtual automation system is used for control (SIMIT Virtual Controller). Upgrades are available for upgrading from SIMIT V10.0 to V10.1. Projects based on SIMIT V8.0/V8.1/V9.0/V9.1/V10.0 can continue to be used with SIMIT V10.1.


With the release of SIMIT Simulation Platform V10.1, SIMIT Simulation Framework V9.1 will transition to Product Phase Out on 01.10.2019 and SIMIT Simulation Platform V10.0 will follow on 30.09.2020.  During Phase Out the product will continue to be available for sale and will receive Technical Support.  Additional updates are not planned for V9.1 and V10.0.

2 Calculation of project size

Each SIMIT package supports a fixed number of simulation tags that represent the size of the project.

The calculation of the simulaiton tags is done as follows:
Sum of simulation tags of a component = inputs + outputs + states

Example:

The calculation of the simulation tags is done as follows:

Project in SIMIT V9.1 or newer Executing the "Analysis" functionality in the context menu of the project

SIMIT's scalable product portfolio includes the SIMIT Simulation Platform, the SIMIT Virtual Controller, the SIMIT Component Type Editor, the SIMIT Libraries and the SIMIT UNIT.
