V2.0 SP1 of SINEMA Remote Connect is hereby released effective immediately.

The following is offered for download:

  • Installation files for SINEMA Remote Connect Server V2.0 SP1
  • Installation files for SINEMA Remote Connect Client V2.0 Hotfix 2
  • Optional: VMWare Tools for installation via update routine
  • Optional: OSS packages used

The release of SINEMA Remote Connect SP1 contains security-related improvements that increase the stability of the product.

For maximum interoperability, we always recommend upgrading both the SINEMA Remote Connect Server and the SINEMA Remote Connect Client to the latest version.

Updating the server:

The description of the system update can be found in the operating instructions for SINEMA Remote Connect:  https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/109482121/BA_SINEMA-RC-Server_0.pdf?

It is only possible to update to version 2.0 SP1 from V2.0; please note the corresponding information in the manual.

Version 2.0 SP1 is loaded via the server's WBM. Please ensure that your system (including documentation of all network settings) has been backed up and follow the instructions in the manual.

Existing VPN connections are terminated and the SINEMA RC server is restarted during a system update.
The connections are re-established after restarting.


Installation of the client: 

It is only possible to update to version 2.0 HF2 from V2.0 HF1; please note the corresponding information in the manual.

The current Windows updates are a prerequisite for installing the SINEMA Remote Connect Client.

Check whether your operating system is up to date before installing the SINEMA RC Client.
