      SINAMICS Startdrive Basic can be used free of charge without having to enter a license key. However, for licensing reasons, you should be in possession of a SINAMICS Startdrive Basic license certificate (any version). If you do not have a license, you can either order the current SINAMICS Startdrive Basic version, including the license certificate, as a DVD, or download it. Startdrive supports the languages English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Chinese (Simplified).

      Installation procedure for Startdrive V16

      1. Download the attached files to a target directory on your hard disk.
      2. Please check that there are no spaces anywhere in the path name of this target directory.
      3. Start setup by calling "Startdrive_Advanced_V16.exe".

      Important installation note on Windows 7:

      Startdrive can only run on Windows operating systems that support the secure hash algorithm "SHA-2". However, "SHA-2" is only supported on Windows 7 after a security update (KB 3033929) has been installed. Please therefore make sure that you have the latest Windows security updates installed on your system.
