Instructions
The size and position of the alphanumerical and numerical keyboard can be set on Windows-based operator panels. The size and position of the alphanumerical keyboard can be saved separately from the settings for the numerical keyboard. The keyboard layout can be changed via the operator panel's Control Panel.

The setting of size and position depends on the Image version of the operator panel. How to proceed for your particular operator panel is given in the "Input Panel" dialog in the "Control Panel" of your operator panel.

1. Operator panels with recent Image version
There are two different methods for operator panels with a recent Image version. In the case of small displays, the system does not permit you to change the size of the monitor keyboard. The "Show Resize Button" option is not available on these operator panels.

1.1 Operator panels without "Show Resize button"
On these operator panels you can only change and save the position, but not the size.

  • Open the "Control Panel" and click the "InputPanel" icon.

  • Click on "Open Input Panel".

  • Drag the window which now appears to the bottom corner of the screen, for example, (although it must still be completely visible). This is so that you can still see and operate this dialog after resizing the keyboard.
  • The keyboard is displayed and you can only change its position (via the keyboard icon at the top right). You cannot change the size of the keyboard.

  • Once you have changed the position, confirm with "Save", followed by "Close Input Panel" to save the settings.
  • Close the dialog box by clicking "OK".

Remark
You can switch between alphanumerical and numerical keyboard mode by clicking the "Num" button on the actual keyboard.

Note
Only the keyboard's alphanumerical view can be saved as power failure-proof. This entails selecting the alphanumerical view before saving. The numerical view cannot be saved as power failure-proof. Following "POWER ON", the size and position of the numerical display is adapted in line with the alphanumerical display.
