QUESTION:
With STEP 7 V5.2 there is a new function called "Config in Run".  What options does this function offer and where can I find more detailed information?

ANSWER:
With the new Config in Run  (CiR) function you can make changes to the configuration of a system during Runtime. You do not have to stop the process to do this and the CPU remains in the RUN state whilst you make the changes.

This function is supported by CPU S7-400 Standard and CPU S7-400-H (from firmware V3.1.0 in each case).

A comprehensive description of this function is available in the manual "SIMATIC System Changes during Runtime using CiR" .

This manual is available for downloading in Entry ID 14044916 .
