Instructions:
Information, warnings and errors relating to hardware or the operating system are stored in the Microsoft Windows event viewer. For diagnosing it might be necessary to make the data of the event viewer available for the Siemens Technical Support.

Procedure in Windows NT 4.0

No. Procedure
1 Call the event viewer with "Start > Programs > Administration (General) > Event Viewer".
2 Using the menu item "Protocol > System" or "Protocol > Application" you can switch to the protocol concerned.
3 Save the data from both protocols in each case with "Protocol > Save as..." and select the file type *.EVT.
4 If possible, archive the stored protocols before sending them to Technical Support, for example in a .zip archive. This greatly reduces the volume of data to be transferred.
