What options are there for reading hardware limit switch signals into a Technology CPU?

Description:  
To be able to use the limit switch signals in the integrated technology of the Technology CPU, they must be read in there or transferred there. You can use the following signals here.

Using the onboard inputs on the technology CPU,
using the digital inputs of the SINAMICS S120 or
using a remote connection via ET 200S

Using the digital inputs of the 611U
  • Settings for the DP slave 611U
    In HW Config, via "DP Slave Properties" you add a word to the message (message 105: actual value, address: PZD11, I/O address here 374, for example).

    When you call the configuration again, the entry "none" is displayed for "Presetting".

    Via SimoComU the value 50108 is entered in parameter 916.11 or Digital inputs (DIG_IN) is configured under Sent data, Word 11 via the menu Startup > Parameter View > PROFIBUS parameterization. With these settings the states of the digital inputs I0.A to I3.A are written to Word 11.

  • Settings for the technology object (TO) axis
    In the S7T Config, you now activate the hardware limit switch. This is best done via the "Limits" view. You get to this view under the TO Axis in the project navigator. Hardware limit switches are activated by setting a check mark in the relevant option box. 
    You can ignore the error message "Configuration data, value outside valid range". The associated addresses must be entered. Since in the HW Config the address 374 as Word was selected as start address of the input terminal, the inputs I0.A (terminal X451.10) and I1.A (terminal X451.11) are read in via the low-value byte of Word 374, i.e. via the address 375, Bit 0 and Bit 1.

  • Deactivating the hardware limit switches
    If you want to deactivate the hardware limit switch function again, you must first enter 65535 as logical address. Otherwise error-free compilation of the technology function is no longer possible.

 

Using the digital inputs of the MASTERDRIVE MC
  • Settings for the DP slave Masterdrive MCIn HW Config, via "DP Slave Properties" you add a word to the message (message 5: actual value, address: PZD10, I/O address here 380, for example).

    Note: 
    When you call the configuration again, the entry "none" is displayed for "Presetting".
    Via DriveMon you make the following settings in the drive:
    • (FP 720) set binector / connector converter in same scan time as digital inputs U952.89 = 4. 
    • (FP 720) set binectors of the digital inputs to converter U76.1 = B0010 for digital input 1, U76.2 = B0012 for digital input 2. 
    • (FP 125) connect output connector of the converter to send data of the CB PZD 10 P734.10 = K0431. 
    With these settings the states of the digital inputs (1 and 2) are written to Word 10.

  • Settings for the technology object (TO) axis
    In the S7T Config, you now activate the hardware limit switch. This is best done via the "Limits" view. You get to this view under the TO Axis in the project navigator. You activate the hardware limit switches by setting a check mark in the appropriate option box. You can ignore the error message "Configuration data, value outside valid range". The associated addresses must be entered. In this example (I/O address 380) you must specify 381 Bit 0 for the first terminal (terminal 3) and Bit 1 for the second digital input (terminal 4) of the Masterdrive MC. When addressing you must make sure that you start at 381 instead of 380 (the low-value byte of word 380 is byte 381!).
