Why can't you change between portrait and landscape format in a print layout?

You have chosen the "Portrait" option for the print format of a print layout in the Report Designer under "Properties > Layout > Geometry > Orientation". Now you want to incorporate a graphics object, for example, in landscape format in the print job. For this you have configured another print layout with the graphics object in landscape format and wish to incorporate this into the portrait format layout via Standard Objects > Dynamic Objects > Embedded Layout. However, this embedded landscape format is printed in portrait format. The reason for this is that for a print layout the format of the overall printout is always dictated by the main layout including the embedded print layout, even though a different format was set for the embedded layout.
