Description:
Communication between CPU, ET 200S 1SI and a communication partner is via the function blocks and the logs of the ET 200S 1SI module. The function blocks constitute the software interface between the CPU and the serial interface module ET 200S 1SI.
The function blocks require direct access to the I/O addresses, but direct access to the I/Os is not implemented in the following CPs:
- CP 342-5 (PROFIBUS)
- CP 343-1 (PROFINET)
For this reason, data exchange between ET 200S 1SI and the CPs mentioned above must take place in the same way as between ET 200S 1SI and a third-party master.
Entry ID: 26263724 gives you access to a sample application. The content is the serial communication with the ET 200S 1SI module via PROFIBUS/PROFINET CP.
There is detailed information about data exchange between ET 200S 1SI and a third-party master in chapter 2.12 of the manual entitled "Serial Interface Modules ET 200S 1SI", 9260793
