840D: Release for NCU System Software 6.5 Version 06.05.39

NCU system software Version 6.5 Release 06.05.39 has been released for SINUMERIK 840D/DE and is available since January 16, 2007. This software is an update version.

The errors corrected with ERLde70599 ( upon RLI trigger with positive feedback, Alarm 300512 ) for  611DO have also been corrected for 611D.
At the same time, we have ensured that AP00357278 ( RLI with motor without temperature sensor ) does not arise.

The access rights defined in

    Dynamic energy management: DC link voltage monitoring via MD 1164
Motor temperature and reference measurement monitoring is
interrupted during dc link voltage measurement (N act > MD 1164), that means the motor temperature display via MD 1702  “MOTOR_TEMPERATURE“ is inactive (display of ”#”).
    Dynamic energy management: MD 1165.BIT 1 only active with regenerative braking
When reaching the upper
dc link voltage monitoring threshold(MD 1163), the torque is only reduced with set MD 1165.BIT1=1 when the drive is in regenerative braking mode.
    Torque reduced duringSTOP B/C without monitoring function "speed controller at stop“
With set MD 1096[2], the torque is reduced ( MD 1097 ) while STOP B resp. STOP C is active. At the same time, the monitoring function "speed controller at stop“ is deactivated.
    Thermal motor protection : MD 1267 “Therm. Mot.utilization warning threshold“
If the thermal motor utilization exceeds the value configured in the
response threshold MD 1267 "Therm. Mot.utilization warning threshold", a message is output to the PLC (interface signal "Motor temperature prewarning", DB 31, ... DBX 94.0) and time monitoring (MD 1603) started (analogously to violation of MD 1602: MOTOR_TEMP_WARN_LIMIT).
When the timer expires without dropping below the thermal motor utilization threshold value in the meantime, the drive generates a configurable reset alarm 300614 "Axis %1, Drive %2 Motor temperature exceeded" (see MD 1601, Bit 14).

Elimination of supplementary conditions
   

AP00357274 "RLI with motor without temperature sensor”
As from 6.7.12, the faults occurring during rotor position identification have been taken into account for rotor position evaluation, independently of whether the fault was caused by the RLI.
After correcting the faults, any further faults will no longer be included in the rotor position
calculation.

   

AP00357278 "SI: Alarm 300749 Conversion factor too high although values are ok”
Modified in the documentation and fault database:
The conversion factor used for converting values from the motor system  [increments] to the load system [micrometer/mdeg] exceeds 0.5 resp. the factor used for conversion from the load system to the motor system exceeds 65535.
The following applies to conversion from the load system to the motor system
: micrometer_to_inkr <= 65535.
The following applies to conversion from the motor system to the load system: inkr_to_micrometer <= 0.5.
with
micrometer_to_inkr = 1 / inkr_to_micrometer

The following applies to rotary motor encoders with rotary axis:
inkr_to_micrometer(n) = inkr_to_micrometer_rot_rund * MD 1321 / MD 1322
and
inkr_to_micrometer_rot_rund = (360000 / 8192)  * (1 / MD 1318)

4. Compatibilities of NCU-SW 6.5
 
The current version has not been modified as compared with NCU Software 06.05.28; see 21722889


5. System dependencies / supplementary conditions:
 

System dependencies :
- The function G643 "Block-internal smooting" has been released for tool change applications (e.g. optimized tool change position approach). It has not been released for machining process applications.
- The functions FCUB, FLIN in combination with the compressor COMPCAD have not been released.
- NCU *.3: The PCU 50 may only be powered down via the EXIT button in the emergency stop condition when using PLC operating systems <12.30.10.
- NCU *.4: The PCU 50 may only be powered down via the EXIT button in the emergency stop condition when using PLC operating systems <10.60.17.
- The NCU 573.3 (6FC5357-0BB33-0AE2/-0AE3) no longer allows to activate 10 channels and 31 axes at the same time.
A maximum of eight channels may be activated. This limitation does not apply to the successor type NCU 573.3 (6FC5357-0BB33-0AA_)
- On the NCU 572.3 (6FC5357-0BB22-0AE0) and NCU 572.4 (6FC5357-0BB23-0AE0) with 31 axis software, the number of channels is limited to 6. This limitation does not apply to the successor types NCU 572.3 (6FC5357-0BB23-0AA_) and NCU 572.4 (6FC5357-0BB24-0AA_)
Limitations applying as from V06.05.37:
  AP00339716 Software version 12 axes from 31: Measuring system error compensation cannot be activated for axis numbers exceeding 12.
