Why isn't there an additional driver for a Siemens Raid Controller on the driver disk?
When you install a new version of Windows, additional drivers have to be loaded from the disk for some device components during the installation process. Examples of these device components include:
- RAID Controller for hard disks
- SCSI controllers 29160
To load the drivers you must press the "F6" key when the following message is displayed: "Setup is checking the hardware configuration of the computer". Windows Setup then requests you to insert the driver disk. You can then choose the relevant driver.
The additional drivers for the Siemens RAID controller can be found on the Documentation and Drivers CD which is supplied with the controller: Path: \Drivers\RAID
However, there are only 4 lines displayed here, and there isn't a scrollbar available. Nevertheless, you can scroll down using the arrow keys until you reach the required RAID controller.
Then select the following controller here: - Intel(R) 82801GR/GH SATA RAID controller (desktop ICH7R/DH)
