Release for general availability for Drive ES PCS7 V7.0
availability with this information.
The reasons for the revision and further development are the fact that SIMATIC PCS7 V7.0
and V7.0 SP1 have been launched into the market.

|6SW1700-5JD00-1AC0||Runtime license for Drive ES PCS7 Vx.y||Effective immediately|
- Compatible to the SIMATIC PCS7 Versions V7.0 and V7.0 SP1
- Certified with respect to SIMATIC PCS7 V7.0 SP1
- Simulation blocks for the drives have been integrated into the library.
Simulation blocks are available for the MICROMASTER 4xx, MASTERDRIVES, SIMOREG DC Master and SINAMICS G/S drives
(incl. ALM and G120).
These simulation blocks contain a simplified state machine that emulates the real drives. This means that the behavior
of the faceplates and the block operation on the process side can be simulated, i.e. a test can be made without a real drive actually being physically available.
The simulation blocks have no know-how protection and can therefore be used in the application as required regarding the simulation - or optimized
and/or supplemented by system-specific components.
- The"LoopIn_Alarm" function is now supported in conformance with SIMATIC PCS7 V7.0
· The blocks can be used for drives after a Y link, if the drives are integrated/linked-in
using a GSD file.
Only PZD communication to control the drives is possible; non-cyclic communication functions to read-out the fault memory are de-activated for operation after the Y link. It is not possible to access drives after the Y link from Drive ES Basic using the engineering tools.
SIMATIC PCS7 V7.0 and V7.0 SP1, Windows XP Prof. and Windows Server 2003

Availability of previous versions:
The existing versions of Drive ES PCS7 Versions V5.1, V5.2, V6.0 and Version V6.1 are still available - for
compatibility reasons - to the corresponding SIMATIC PCS7 Versions V5.1, V5.2, V6.0 and V6.1.
The single license is the engineering license that must be purchased for each engineering station - and that is already known. The engineering license also automatically includes a runtime license that authorizes customers/users to download the software to an AS station. Additional runtime licenses must be purchased for additional AS stations.
The upgrade version for Drive ES PCS7 from V5.X and V6.x to V7.0 is intended for those customers that already have one or several licenses in their possession.
Customers are able obtain the new version at a significantly lower price.
Caution! The upgrade checks whether the previous version is installed and only then can the new version be installed.
The update service brings customers into a position so that they are supplied automatically with all of the service packs and full versions for one year. The customer then always has the up-to-date software. This service will be invoiced.
Note! Users that have ordered the update service will automatically receive the new version.
The runtime license for Drive ES PCS7 V7.0
When this license is purchased (it comprises a software certificate with license and adhesive label) then the user is licensed to download our blocks and use them on 1 AS station. As proof that the runtime license has been purchased the label supplied can be glued onto the AS station or in the appropriate documentation ( e.g. machine logbook ).
