QUESTION:
Why, after upgrading from STEP7 V5.0+SPx to V5.1, do I get the message "S7UBTSTX.EXE - cannot find ordinal number"?

ANSWER:
Description:

After upgrading from STEP7 V5.0 SPx to STEP7 V5.1 you get the message
"S7UBTSTX.EXE - cannot find ordinal number.
Cannot find the ordinal number 46 in the Dynamic Link Library ATL.DLL".

Cause:

The ATL.DLL file is available in multiple different versions on the computer. Only one such DLL must be available and must be located in the folder "C:\WINx\system32".

Remedy:

Rename all the other multiple DLLs to *.alt. This should solve the problem.
