Technologie CPUs: Technology Template "CrossCutter"

Problem
Using the technology CPU the technology template on hand helps you implement a cross cutter which can cut a product on a continuous material line into individual parts of given lengths. The cutting length at the product can be changed or corrected via a print-mark synchronization during operation.

Solution
The technology CPU shall be used to cut a continuously produced product via cross cutter, i.e. a blade attached to a rotating axis, into equal parts of given length.

 

It shall be possible to reach the desired product length only by specifying the cutting length, or check and correct the set cutting length through print-marks attached on the product.

The relationship between the movement of the cross cutter and the material line shall be created via a curve disc. The cam disc required for the motion profile of the cross cutter, which corresponds to the set cutting length shall be automatically created by the technology template during runtime.

The S7 Code of the Template can be downloaded separated or together with the example.

For the Example a Technology-CPU, STEP 7 V5.4 SP4, S7 Technology V4.1 and WinCC flexibel 2008 Runtime is required. Due the example uses virtual axes, no drive is required.
