- Extracting the configuration files
Unpack the relevant ZIP archive in the "...\WinCC\options\pdl\" folder in the WinCC installation folder.
The configuration files below apply to all versions of WinCC V6.2.
The configuration files below apply only to WinCC V7.0.
The new directories below are created.
The directories contain the configuration files and the static sized WinCC pictures for the OS project editor.
Configuring the OS project editor
Start the WinCC Explorer and create a new project. Start the OS project editor. The screen layout options available for selection will vary depending on the project used. In the case of single-user station projects, the only option available is the "Standard" layout.
Apply the required settings and close the project editor again.
Creating pictures for the working area
The WinCC pictures for the working area now have a native resolution of 1680x817 pixels. This resolution has also been defined by the OS project editor as a default for new pictures.
If you use larger pictures, scroll bars appear in the working area.
Should you wish to use another screen resolution which is not available yet, you can create the requisite configuration files yourself. You can use an existing configuration as a template. It can be found in the WinCC installation directory in the folder "...\WinCC\options\pdl\", or use the files which are provided in this project. Also change the static sized WinCC pictures accordingly.
