Service Pack 3 for S7-PLCSIM V5.4

Service Pack 3 (SP3) for S7-PLCSIM V5.4 provides the following new functions:

  • Multiple startability (multi-instance capability) and communication support between the simulated CPUs (simulation instance) 
  • Optimized download by omitting the Node Browser 
  • Support of an additional PG/PC interface: PCinternal (local) 
  • Optimization of the communication between S7-PLCSIM and WinCC / WinCC flexible 
  • Indication of all CPU access addresses in the status line

  Precondition for installation of S7-PLCSIM V5.4 incl. SP3:

  • STEP 7 V5.4 SP1, SP2, SP3, SP3.1, SP4 or SP5 
  • S7-PLCSIM V5.4 incl. SP1, SP2 or SP3 and STEP 7 V5.4 incl. SP3, SP3.1, SP4 or SP5 will execute under MS Windows VISTA.

  Supported operating systems:

  • MS Windows 2000 Professional SP4 
  • MS Windows XP Professional SP2 or SP3 
  • MS Windows Server 2003 SP1 or SP2
    (standard edition, only in workstation mode; no client-server installations). 
  • MS Windows Server 2003 R2 SP1 or SP2
    (standard edition, only in workstation mode; no client-server installations). 
  • MS Windows VISTA 32 Business and Ultimate with or without SP1.
    Please note:
    If you run the software under MS Windows VISTA you will find S7-PLCSIM in the start menu under
    Start menu > All programs > Siemens Automation > SIMATIC


  • The free Service Pack 3 for S7-PLCSIM V5.4 has been packed for you in the file "S7_PLCSIM_V54_SP3.zip".
  • Before starting with the installation please close all STEP 7 applications.
  • After unpacking please start the program "Setup.exe". You will be given important promts in the course of the setup. The drive on which SP3 is to be installed will be determined automatically on the basis of the existing version of S7-PLCIM V5.4.
