The new product version 2 of the IP 260 has undergone the fol-              

lowing functional changes:                                                  


1. If the BASP signal (output disable) goes HIGH, the IP 260                

   no longer detects a CPU failure. This will happen only if                

   communication between CPU (via FB 170) and IP 260 has                    

   been interrupted.                                                        

   Reason for modification: In some cases, the BASP signal was              

   HIGH, but the CPU was in the RUN state.                                  


2. Limit switch evaluation                                                  

   It is now possible to move in the "Close" direction, even                

   if the signal to the "Open" limit switch is HIGH.                        


The modification is free of charge. Please contact your local
