Firmware Update Power Monitoring Device PAC3100

If the device firmware is updated, the respective firmware always has to be updated to the latest version available for the PAC3100. Please note that a firmware update may also require a new version of the language package.

  • Normative improvement for noise cancelation at very low currents levels

Note!

  • After updating to the firmware V1.2.1, an older version (<V1.2.1) must not be loaded because this would lead to an irreversible malfunction of the device
  • After updating the PAC3100 to firmware V1.2.1 it is not necessary to update a new language package

The firmware update V1.2.0 incorporates the following modifications:

  • Single phase energy values
    The single phase energy values (active/reactive energy) for L1 (a), L2 (b), L3 (c) will be shown on the display at the total energies (display number 11.0/12.0) and are available in the data registers (see table below)
  • Connection to 1P2W
    Additional connection type for voltage input 1P2W (1 Phase, 2 Wires). This connection type enables the connection of just the single phase L1 (a).

  • After updating to the firmware version V1.2.0, an older version (<V1.2.0) must not be loaded because this could lead to an irreversible malfunction of the device
  • After updating the PAC3100 to firmware V1.2.0 it is mandatory to update the language package to version V1.2.0! The related language package can also be found on the download page of the PAC3100

The firmware update V1.1.1 incorporates the following modifications:

  • Extended display of decimal places at current and power measurements via the parameter "Display Range"

Note!

  • After updating to the firmware version V1.1.1, an older version (<V1.1.1) must not be loaded becaouse this could lead to an irreversible malfunction of the device
  • After updating the PAC3100 to firmware V1.1.1 it is not necessary to update to a new language package!
    The language packages version V1.1.0 (11/2010) remain valid
Update V1.0.1

The firmware update V1.0.1 incorporates the following modifications:

  • After a longer period of operation (>1 month), the built-in energy counters may stop counting. They might start to work again after some time, or in case of a power loss. This malfunction may lead in a rising deviation between the measured energy, and the real energy consumption.
    Version 1.0.1 eliminates this behavior.
    It is recommended to update all devices with prior versions to the version V1.0.1 in order to ensure that the energy counters are working properly.
