SIMOTION Message Handling

  • Entry
  • Associated product(s)
The Message Handling application collects all messages from the various sources of the SIMOTION system. These messages (e.g. from drives, technology objects, user-defined, etc.) are provided as actual messages and as message archive in a chronological order to the user.

The SIMOTION application engineer can further process the collected messages by reacting on alarm categories (fast stop, stop at end of cycle, etc.) or forwarding them to a higher-level system or displaying them on an HMI. The messages can be filtered in the HMI by message source or message class (information, warning, fault).

The application Message Handling can be integrated into your SIMOTION SCOUT (STEP 7 V5.x) project easily with the ProjectGenerator SIMOTION easyProject. In addition to the automatic program import or program update, the LDPV1 library (acyclic data exchange) required for the operation and a preconfigured program for the global resource management (pGlobalBufferManager) is also integrated automatically in the project. The SIMOTION IT web page for the Message Handling can also be integrated and loaded automatically.
