SIMOTION/SINAMICS: Triggering drive-internal safety functions via SIMOTION and PROFINET with PROFIsafe (I device F proxy)

This functionality is used to control the drive-integrated safety functions from an FCPU. The set speed is specified in parallel from a SIMOTION controller.

Task
The safety functions in the SINAMICS drive should be triggered from an F-CPU via PROFINET with PROFIsafe.

In parallel, the set velocity is executed by a SIMOTION controller.

Solution
The PROFINET functionality I device F proxy in a SIMOTION controller forwards the PROFIsafe message frames of the F-CPU to the SINAMICS drive to trigger the drive-internal safety functions. For this purpose, the SIMOTION controller is integrated as I device on the PROFINET IO controller of the F-CPU.
