Important information

As of version V3.6, the CAD Creator is no longer part of the scope of delivery of SIZER for Siemens Drives. To use the CAD functionality, CAD Creator (as of V1.7.1) must be installed on the PC.

    Important note
    The dimension drawing generators must be deactivated via the "Adapted" setting on the "Setup type" dialog page in the setup.

  • For converter operation, SIMOTICS GP/SD-1LE1 motors are only approved/certified for voltages of up to 480 V. As a consequence, motors with voltages of 575 V up to 690 V are locked and cannot be selected.
  • At the present time, standard SIMOTICS GP/SD-1LE1 motors in the 500 V voltage level are permitted for converter operation; this means that SIMOGEAR 2KJ geared motors are still available for 500 V. However, the 500 V voltage level is not permitted for standard SIMOTICS GP/SD-1LE1 motors for converter operation.

Hotfix 1 for SIZER V3.17 resolves the following problems:

  • NX10 and NX15 options - that can be selected for SINUMERIK 828D - have been corrected, if the "Advanced" and "Basic" software options
  • Configuring SIMOGEAR 2KJ motors in the DT Configurator resulted in an error if the motor was originally created in a SIZER project in a SIZER version before 3.17 - and then further processed using SIZER V3.17.

Precondition

SIZER V3.16 has been installed.

Restriction

If existing SIZER projects with 6FX7... temperature cables are still to be used, data update V2.1 must not be installed as otherwise the system will crash.

This error is corrected with SIZER V3.17.

Workaround

Remove the temperature cables from old projects. Then install data update V2.1.

  • As part of the relocation of the production of SIMOTICS GP-1LE1 motors from Bad Neustadt to Mohelnice, the Prolifa series will be discontinued. Within this context, the terminal boxes change and option R76, 6-part terminal board, no longer exists.

The following installation versions are available


  • Installing SIZER without dimension drawing generators
    • To do this, download the "SIZER_V36.zip" file, unpack it, and then start the setup.exe program.
      Important note: The dimension drawing generators must be deactivated via the "Adapted" setting on the "Setup type" dialog page in the setup. 
  • Installing SIZER with the CAD Generator dimension drawing generator (for standard induction motors)
    • Download the "SIZER_V36.zip" file first and unzip it.
    • Then download the "SIZER_V36_CAD.zip" file. This zip file contains the "Data2.cab" file. This file must be copied or unpacked into the ...\SIZER subdirectory created after unpacking the "SIZER_V36.zip" file. The "Data2.cab" file must then be in the same directory as the "Data1.cab" file. The preselection of the dimension drawing generators is preset in the setup.
    • Start the setup.exe program in the uppermost directory.
      Note: A subsequent installation of the dimension drawing generators is also supported via this process.
