What options do you have for displaying and editing archives (WinCC Runtime Professional and WinCC V7 Runtime)?

The following controls are used to display runtime data directly in the WinCC screen. There you also have the possibility to print the data or to export it as a CSV file using the "Export data" function:

Alarm View / AlarmControl
Using the Alarm View you can list messages and alarms in tabular form in the process picture. This control provides options to lock, comment and acknowledge messages. It also includes functions for sorting and filtering (selection).
All messages displayed in the control can be exported to the Runtime as a CSV file: Message list, short-term archive list, long-term archive list, lock list, hit list, list of messages to hide.

f(t) trend display / OnlineTrendControl
Using the f(t) trend display, you can have process values displayed graphically in the form of a trend (archive and online values) in the process picture.
You can export the curve data as a CSV file to the Runtime for the time period specified in the control.

Table Display / OnlineTableControl
Using the table display you can display process values in tabular form (archive and online values) in the process picture. You can export the Runtime data as a CSV file for the period displayed in the table or a range selected from it.

Recipe Display / UserArchiveControl
The recipe display offers you the following options in particular for recipe data (user archive data):

• Tabular display of data, including sorting and filtering (selection)
• Data editing
  • in individual cells/fields (value input)
  • in a complete line (delete, cut, copy and paste) 
  • copy of the whole table
• Reading or writing the variables (fields) from or to the controller.
• Export and re-import of a complete archive including table structure

With the "Logs" or "Report Designer" function you can create reports and logs which can be used to clearly print tag and alarm logging data in Runtime

The Report Designer also enables you to use data from ODBC data sources in the report or log.

Using the "Logging Object" you can reconnect swapped-out archive segments to the Runtime or disconnect previously swapped-in archive segments.

Using the option "WinCC/Connectivity Pack" you have licensed access to WinCC databases via OPC or WinCC OLE DB provider. 

Within the TIA Portal, the WinCC OLE DB Provider (W.OLEDB) provides the functionality of the WinCC Connectivity Pack and is integrated into the basic software in WinCC Professional.

The option "WinCC/Industrial Data Bridge" provides read and write access to recipes/user archives. Furthermore, it enables the analysis and storage of process values in Office formats and data exchange also with other applications, for example via CSV or XML files.

With the option "WinCC/DataMonitor" you can display and evaluate current process statuses and historical data via the intranet/internet.

The "SIMATIC Process Historian" option is used to create a central and scalable long-term archive for the entire plant. With this system it is possible to store data across systems and independent of version from any number of SCADA systems in one database.

The web-based "SIMATIC Information Server" option provides continuous reporting from manufacturing to management, based on archived data. It is used to call data of the "WinCC Process Historian" and process it for the user.
