Task
The SINAMICS S110 is to be controlled via a fieldbus (PROFINET/PROFIBUS) from an S7-300 CPU in order to be able to change the traversing blocks from the controller. This option is also to apply for safety functions.

Solution
The function block FB 283 is used for this purpose in this application example. FB 283 controls the cyclic communication and provides various types of acyclic jobs, such as:

  • A function to read and write the traversing blocks.
  • A user-friendly option to change or read arbitrary parameters.

If you want to use the S110 safety functions, information on setting up the functions can be found in the appropriate section in the documentation. Extended safety functions are also available. These require a license and are not considered in this application example. For PROFIsafe a F-CPU is needed.

This application example shows a possible solution for your task. You can use this as a stimulation or basis for your own solutions.
