Creating and using user-defined web pages on S7-1200
SIMATIC CPUs with PROFINET interface provide the opportunity to access tags of the CPU with the help of web pages provided by the system. The integrated web server of the S7-CPU is accessed via a standard web browser. In this example the tags are saved in a string that should be transferred to the web pages. That reduces the update time.
In addition to the standard mechanisms of the web page such as identification, diagnostic buffer, module status, communication, variable status and data log, individual web pages can be designed and called for your particular application.
This application shows how to create your own user-defined web pages for S7-1200 easily and quickly. Prior knowledge in HTML-programming is not absolutely necessary.
The following figure shows the implemented visualization:
For STEP 7 V13 we offer a seperate application Example:

Siemens provides products and solutions with industrial security functions that support the secure operation of plants, solutions, machines, equipment and/or networks. They are important components in a holistic industrial security concept. With this in mind, Siemens’ products and solutions undergo continuous development. Siemens recommends strongly that you regularly check for product updates.
For the secure operation of Siemens products and solutions, it is necessary to take suitable preventive action (e.g. cell protection concept) and integrate each component into a holistic, state-of-the-art industrial security concept. Third-party products that may be in use should also be considered. For more information about industrial security, visit
