SINAMICS S120 DCB library “GMC” and “Math Extended”

Certain drive tasks use the Drive Control Blocks (DCB) of SINAMICS DCC to realize additional functionalities. Beside the blocks of DCB Standard libraries with additional functions based on SINAMICS DCB Extension are available.

Solution
DCB library „GMC“ for Motion Control applications
Used for applications with extended motion control functionalities e.g. in production machine areas with positioning movements or synchronism relations.

The GMC library offers blocks to realize motion control applications drive based in the SINAMICS S120 drive. With the function block library "GMC" for motion control these elementary functions are available as single function blocks and sometimes as combination of several functions. The blocks can be combined at own discretion and realize both simple and complex drive functions.

DCB library "Math Extended" supplementary mathematical and logical functions
Used in applications where mathematical functions such as trigonometrical, logarithmic or additional logic functions are required.

The Math Extended library offers blocks to carry out trigonometrical calculations like arc sine or arc cosine or also logarithm calculations like a common or natural logarithm. Furthermore it provides supplementary logic functions like the word-by-word AND or OR functions.
