Firmware Update for S7-1500 CM PtP

When updating the firmware, always update to the latest version available for the product and its respective article number. The previous versions of the firmware are only intended as backup to allow a downgrade to the original version.
The latest version of firmware in each case is valid for all revision levels of this article number.

How to update the firmware is described in detail in entry ID 78648446

Update V1.0.3

Firmware revision as part of product maintenance

The behavior of the module was optimized in the following points:

  • Reaction to wire break diagnostics correction
  • Improved module behavior in case of faulty data transfer
  • Improved parameter error checking
  • Optimization of LED feedback during sending and receiving
  • Adaptation of diagnostics information entries in the alarm information conforming with the standard in the Equipment Manual

Update V1.0.1

The following changes have been implemented in V1.0.1 compared to the predecessor version:

  • when selecting the option "Delete receive buffer upon startup“ all the old message frames will now be deleted
  • when deselecting the option "Activate break recognition" and correction of the cable break a reception was still not possible
  • incorrect removal of a diagnostic alarm after calling the instruction "Port_Config“ has been corrected
  • message frame corruptions or functional disturbances during activated flow control (with XON/XOFF or with RTS/CTS) have been corrected
  • functional disturbances after commissioning a 3964(R) communication with initial framing errors (due to incorrect baud rate, incorrect parity) have been corrected
  • subsequent re-parameterization of a 3964(R) communication (with respect to data transmission rate, parity, data bits and stop bits) is now also possible with the instruction "Port_Config“
  • enhancement of the firmware update algorithm
  • Profinet error code in the case of too short (faulty) parameterization data sets has been corrected
  • the operation of S7-1500 CM PtP modules is now also permitted in a ET200MP station behind a IM 155-5 DP
