Line Integration at the Food & Beverage Industry – Plant Communication Concept
The Plant Communication Concept is part of the Line Integration Concept of the Food & Beverage Industry. An overview of the Line Integration Concept you can find here.
Individual stations of production lines require reliable transmission of standardized data structures. The data must be exchanged efficiently, reliably, easily and independently of the automation system used via a standardized Interface.
To support the integration of lines, Siemens offers communication blocks based on PROFINET IO, Open TCP/IP or S7-Communication. These blocks based on the Plant Data Interface and supports the easily integration of machines into existing applications.
This concept based on the international standards of OMAC-User group and Weihenstephan Standards, which sets the industry-standard for the according data Interfaces.
For questions concerning the application, please feel free to address your local Siemens contact.
