    SIMATIC System Audit

Increasing the system availability through detailed knowledge of the plant state

Maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness for a plant over its entire lifecycle - these are the key requirements for an automation system. As plants become increasingly more complex and cost pressure rises, the SIMATIC automation systems’ availability and serviceability are becoming more and more important for plant productivity. The perfect coordination of products, systems, and services requires detailed knowledge of the plant’s status. After all, this is the only way to ensure intelligent design and implementation of system updates or lifecycle services.

A SIMATIC System Audit provides transparency of the current status and serviceability of the SIMATIC automation system. It thus provides the essential basis to ensure intelligent design and service strategies, efficient implementation of system upgrades/updates or for the preparation of lifecycle services contracts

Through the modular structure of this service, very different system configurations and system platforms can be assessed from different point of views.

    • Audit SCADA Status
Status of a SIMATIC WinCC SCADA system with subordinate SIMATIC S7 automation level. The projects have to be created with the engineering tools SIMATIC WinCC Classic or SIMATIC TIA Portal.
    • Audit DCS Status
Detailed PCS 7 system analysis with as complete as possible detection of the system status and identification of potential risks.

    • Audit DCS Upgrade Study
This module is specialized for the preparation of a PCS 7 system upgrade. It is based on checking the ‘Audit DCS Status’ module and includes precise notes on possible risks and the efficient handling of system upgrades. In general, it is also checked whether a Virtualization would be possible as part of the upgrade.
    • Audit DCS Lifecycle Services

In addition to the elements of the ‘Audit DCS Status’ module, a ‘Conformance Check’ is carried out here, with statements regarding restoration of long-term serviceability and upgrade/update-capability of the system and particularly to avoid risks in view of the conclusion of long-term lifecycle service contracts.

The “System Assessment” option is only available for the “DCS Status” or “SCADA Status” modules, as an “initial service” to display the general performance of the complete audit modules.
