can i swap modules betwen machines?

hacm Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Another question is about LT Modules Two diferent machines(Index and Gildemeister) have diferent axis modules (ussing same drives for it) so my question is Are those two modulesinterchangable -can i swap modules betwen machines? Moduls are : LT MODUL 2X15A 6SN1123-1AB00-*0AA1* and LT MODUL 2X15A 6SN1123-1AB00-0BA1 Thank you very much!

LT MODUL 2X15A 6SN1123-1AB00-*0AA1* and LT MODUL 2X15A 6SN1123-1AB00-*0BA1* The 6SN1123-1AB00-0AA1 (if it is powering a 1FT5 motor) is rated for 7.5A continuous (S1) and 15.0A peak; however, the 6SN1123-1AB00-0BA1 is rated for 12.5A continuous (S1) and 25.0A peak. Therefore, the LT designations are LT15 and LT25 respectively. The larger current power section can be used; however, the control unit that is plugged into the power section needs to be recommissioned and set up to acknowledge the new power section. BTW whtch CNC do you have for 2 MC 840D? 840C? drive 611D/A?

BTW whtch CNC do you have for 2 MC 840D? 840C? drive 611D/A? My......... 0BA1 module is NOT LT225A It is 2*15A we have 840C and 840D (index and gildemeister machine)

Regards About drive reconfiguring..how you do this ...it has to be done in the Siemens?! Reason i`m asking this is becouse both modules using same type drives and i belive so far i exchanged drives betwen two machines... not sure did i have any problems about drive reconfiguring. Thank you

Dave Posts: 271 Rating: (29)	Hello Hacm, If you're not sure how to reconfigure the drives, you should consider contacting your Siemens office and request field service for your machine. Documentation usually will guide you through some of the troubleshooting and commissioning techniques, but it is always safer and quicker to have a reliable service engineer to assist you.
