Help! How Can Get Three different speeds With LOGO 12,24RC

Then you must use an addidional Module AM2 AQ. The circuit can be only an analoge multiplexer and a textbox to put in the 3 (max. 4) different values. To define the values you need the correlation of rpm to voltage. To give you more help we need more infos about your application. Nic_ Posts: 5 Rating: (2)	You could also setup a Sinaimcs or MicroMaster4 VFD with 3 fixed frequency setpoints. These would each be tied to a digital input on the VFD from a digital output on the Logo. When the logo outputs the corrosponding digital output the drive goes to the predefined fixed frequency. ie: Logo Ouput 0 -> VFD Input 0 -> Setpoint 20Hz Logo Output 1 -> VFD Input 1 -> Setpoint 30Hz Logo Output 2 -> VFD Input 2 -> Setpoint 40Hz They would both work.

Waldo Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	The Application is a conveyor, is a 1.7HP asynchronous motor, 1425 Nominal RPM. this conveyor has to move in clockwise and anticlockwise way. .So I have to use 3Digital Inputs of LOGOto select the speed that I Want. Other thing, I need a Contactor to start that motor or not. Could you do some diagrams for it?. Thanks Betel

playerslight Posts: 1064 Rating: (72)	Either option is ready available but with the analog option you would need a analog output on the logo . the analog option has more advantages including more speeds and speed ramping which is a nice feature to have . But either way you do notr need a contactor to start and stop the motor except for safety in which case the starter would be on all the time

rosa Posts: 191 Rating: (58)	Hi Waldo!! i strongly recommend you to look at the inverter first.. there are different inverters in the market and each one of themcan do most of the job... the simple approach is to give the inverter 3 digital inputs, and each one of them would give a different speed to your motor. thenot so simple approach, you just use 2 digitalinputs, and with this you can make a binary3 states plus 0 options... the luxury option.. you give the drive an analog signal wich controls the speed of the motor.. all 3 options can be controled by LOGO with more or less work and expense.. so.... please take a look at the inverters and then it would be easyer to help you with the control..
