Error code E-A080 on universal 6N1118-0NH01-0AA1

AutoGen_4521937 Joined: 12/1/2023 Last visit: 4/19/2024 Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello, on the LCD display on the universal 6N1118-0NH01-0AA1 appears almost immediately E-A080 after switching ON. The Infeed module works fine (orange LED on). The error code is not documented in the manual as far as I can see. Normally you get past the error code when pressing the min button (- button) but this does not work. Pressing any other button does not do anything. Does anyone know what the cause is, and how to remedy it? Thank you

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 11/8/2024 Posts: 4071 Rating: (357)	Dear User, from your picture, I see you have error A040 instead of A080, I attached error explanation so You see the picture's function is important and from you picture I see you 611U control card with an option submodule --PROFIBUS Option module I am not sure what is the original wiring /connecting, but I see now that sub-module has red led and no cable connected to it. This 6N1118-0NH01-0AA1 is a repurposed one, and therefore programmed for another machine. I tried also without the PROFIBUS Option module but the error stays the same, so I think P0875 is not related to the PROFIBUS Option module . So I need to reset P0875 to 0 (or maybe the factory RESET the universal 6N1118-0NH01-0AA1). How do I do that? Normally you get past the error code when pressing the min button (- button) but this does not work. Pressing any other button does not do anything either. Thank you for your extremely useful support. PS: I have no need for the PROFIBUS Option module, but I figured that it would do no harm leaving it in. I have no experience (yet) with the PROFIBUS nor with the SimoComU software and want to enter the necessary paramaters using the buttons on the universal card..

How do I do that?" ============================ make things simple--If this error E-A040 not affect your system working--just leaving it like that. If you want to eliminate error the best way is find SIMO COM U sw --TO REPROGRAM THE 611U
