How do I select a servomotor in Sizer

Simotion Posts: 223 Rating: (1)	I need a servomotor from which I know the couple and the maximum speed. When I search a fitting motor in Sizer, he gives me a motor with a motor with a torque M0 (standstill torque) that is much higer, but with a rated torque that is lower then the demanded torque. Also when I look at the couple curb in Sizer the couple is much higher along the speed variations I want. What is rated torque?? Why does he proposes a motor with a M0 that is much higher and not slightly higher. What is the wright way to dimension a servomotor? Thanks

Dave Posts: 271 Rating: (29)	Greetings: The best tool for selecting and sizing servomotors in my humble opinion is SIDIM. Here is a link to a download of the tool: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/10803978/133100 You'll need to select the type of application you have first and then fill in the mechanical data of themachine. Then you'll have to have a definition of the motion profile. Make sure that you consider both normal loading situations and also any non-loaded high speed situations so that most all conditions are taken into account by SIDIM. Just remember, "Garbage in, Garbage out!" Hope this helps...
